Seoul

[Alright, sorry for not delivering on the promise to deliver daily, but weekends DO NOT count and err, my grades made for an emo posting if i did post on monday, and tuesday was eh, housework...yeah housework, so no post.]

Anyways, back to Korea.

Now since i missed out a few days, I shall post on 2 events that happened in Seoul- The Korean Folk Villiage, and Phoenix Blue Canyon.

DAN GOES TO FOLK VILLAGE!!!

Alright, first up, this is the place where a number of korean drama's were shot, most notably, Da Changin. If you dunno who she is, well, she used to be my ex- ...

The Korean Villiage wasn't THAT interesting, you got a glimpse into Korean culture and life back then, quite alright,

Ginseng Plantation

In the past they had some funky games, like the wooden jumping plank, see, i weigh as little as my brother who is 4 years younger (I sense the jealousy in girls reading this, esp in the one yh terms as "the fat one". I'll most probably signed my death warrant with that statement) oh yah, back to topic, they have this 3 containers which you stand a metre plus away and throw arrows in, which! isn't as easy as you imagine, i suspect they put magnets with like poles on the tips of the arrows and the mouth of the containers.

So anyways, visited my ex's house.

She was stunned to see me.

Dan in happier times

THEN Then then! We spotted a let-you-wear-and-pose-in-korean-outfits-station-in-folk-villiage-building.

Dan the Guard in Converses

Friendly Dan the Guard

Fierce! Dan the Guard in Action

Then because of his excellent duties and service attitude, he got promoted to...

Dan the Policeman! (no taser, just sword...a mean sword)

My bro tried to act fierce, he lazy wear the costume, anyways, they had no female costumes, so everyone else who didn't try went to explore other areas.

Basically, the place was alright, plenty of flies, buildings...so yep.

Moving on, I present to you,

PHOENIX BLUE CANYON!

Alright, that's a map, but a map of one of the places you have to go in Korea, OMG! Basically, it's a resort high in the mountains, for skiing in winter and a water theme park in other seasons. For that very reason, I dont have much pictures, you have to rely on reading instead to feel the experience because I don't like posting semi-nude pictures of myself, and because my bod ain't like yh's....he sneeze can rip a sleeve...

So yeah, it was autumn, and the weather in the resort area was really really cooling, being in the mountains mah.

The resort is...nice, but eh, 2 things, in winter, because it's a ski resort, it cost USD$500 a night. and err, because they have to check for power every night, for a few minutes at 10pm and 11pm, there will be a blackout. But otherwise, goodview, good amenities. Great weather.

Other nice views.

This, is Blue Canyon, the water theme park that Wild wild wet can NEVER be compared with.

Please rely on what i have to say rather then pics, cauz my blog aint showing any nudity :D The following points are applicable to everyone who goes there.

  1. They have shoe cabinets
  2. They have Lockers as well
  3. The slides are fantastic
  4. The rides are awesome (sorry not objective)
  5. Taking a slide in the cooling weather with nothing but a trunk on, awesomely cold
  6. They have hot Jacuzzi's in the cool weather.
  7. Wave pools
  8. Amenities and funny lifeguards who kept calling me out of the water several times because of several lame incidents I wont mention. one being i was too handsom...
  9. Indoor and Outdoor rides
  10. THEN, OMG......when you bathe, unlike the lousy swimming complex we have in SG, for theirs, HOT water means hot water! and you can adjust the temperature summore! Unlike the lousy SG de, u adjust hot water and you get blasted with colder water =_=
  11. They PROVIDE full body washs (as in bottled hair/body wash, they dont bathe you =_=)
  12. THEN, they have this dryers, FOC, where you can put your swimwear inside, and they will dry it for you in 10 sec, and you can put it into a plastic bag that they provide.
  13. THATS NOT ALL. Then you go to your locker areas, they provide dressing tables! (HUGE mirrors, hair dryers, combs, towels, wax, all the face/hair stuffs) and please, this is just the male "toilet" only, all the points i just described are only from my experience in the male "toilet" omg, their amenities rock
  14. Then they also provide water dispensers, the cool kind, not canteen quality, again, hot water and cool, refreshing water dispensed.
  15. I forgot to mention, their lockers are hightech too!, the keys just slot in can open, not like needa turn or anything, check through laser-thingy
  16. After you're done, walk out to cooling awesomest weather
............................

ISNT. THAT. SIMPLY. AWESOME.

............................

OMG, PWNED Wild Wild Wet.

Just go in the authmn/ spring if you simply wanna swim, cauz in winter, prices jump to USD$500 a night, and in authmn, you literally get the entire place to yourself! everyone studying! I took the rides so many many times can!

...........................

Awesome...so yes, come to Korea? make sure you visit Phoenix Blue Canyon.

*sighs*
